Allegedly Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 passed FCC certification

Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 4 is expected to be available in the next few weeks, and to achieve this, the device needs to be approved by the FCC. As reported, the FCC has approved four new Microsoft devices, namely C3K1979, C3K1958, C3K1952, and C3K1950 for sale in the United States.

These devices are expected to be different versions of the Surface Laptop 4, each weighing 1.3kg that is close to the 1.26Kg of the Surface Laptop 3, which is completely different from the 550g Surface Go 2 and Surface Book 2 of 1.53Kg. Although the actual laptop has not been leaked, there are some key details about the device, including:

  • Surface Laptop 4 13-inch will be available in Intel and AMD processor versions
  • Surface Laptop 4 15-inch will be available in Intel and AMD processor versions
  • Microsoft will use AMD Ryzen 5 4680U and AMD Ryzen 7 4980U processors. As usual, Microsoft will use the “Surface Edition” version of these processors. The AMD version will provide up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of SSD.
  • Microsoft will use Intel Core i5-1145G7 and Intel Core i7-1185G7 processors. The Intel version will support up to 32GB of memory and up to 1TB of storage space.

Microsoft is expected to hold the Surface spring conference as early as next week and is also expected to release Surface Headphones 2, Surface Classroom Pen 2, and other products.
