China’s Huawei and HSBC have reached an agreement in a Hong Kong court on the disclosure of documents involving Huawei’s Meng Wanzhou’s alleged “fraud” by the US government.
In February of this year, a British judge prevented HSBC from exposing its internal documents related to Meng Wanzhou’s case to Huawei, so Huawei chose to continue to file a lawsuit in a Hong Kong court.
Huawei has always believed that Meng Wanzhou was innocent and was falsely accused by the US government and HSBC. Therefore, it has been working hard to make HSBC reveal relevant information.
On April 12, Huawei and HSBC have reached an agreement on the disclosure of these documents in a court in Hong Kong, which has been approved by the court. According to the Global Times, both Huawei and HSBC have confirmed the matter, but neither party has revealed what information HSBC will disclose.
