Recently, Twitter starts looking a whole lot shorter – starting today, the company lets all users tweet (and view) pictures in 4K on iOS and Android. Twitter’s web app already supports high-resolution images (at resolutions up to 4096 x 4096), but mobile apps were limited to only half, with a maximum resolution of 2048 x 2048.
The company had earlier started testing 4K image upload as an option for mobile users earlier this year, and it seems that those tests have gone well, as from now on it will bring convenience to all users starting.

To enable the new feature, users need to go to the “Data Access” section of the Settings menu in the Twitter app and enable both “High-quality images” (to view 4K images) and “High-quality image uploads”, ”(To tweet them).
Users can choose whether they want high-resolution images to be enabled for both cellular and Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi only, or completely disabled – the same options as to how Twitter handles high-resolution or auto-to-play video.
Time to Tweet those high res pics –– the option to upload and view 4K images on Android and iOS is now available for everyone.
