Apple’s next-generation processor M2 has entered mass production this month and the manufacturer is TSMC. It will ship in July at the earliest for use in MacBook computers. Above, it is reported that MacBook with an M2 processor was originally scheduled to go on sale in the second half of this year.
Recently, the research organization TrendForce reported that Apple plans to launch new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with mini-LED displays in the second half of 2021, consistent with previous reports. These notebooks are expected to be driven by Apple’s Silicon chips and adopt a new design that restores the SD card slot and HDMI port.
People have a lot of expectations for the new high-end MacBook Pro models because Apple is likely to equip these notebooks with an upgraded version of its M1 chip (M1X or M2). Reliable sources such as Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and analyst Ming-Chi Guo also claim that the Touch Bar will be replaced by physical function keys and that the MagSafe magnetic power cord will return.

So far, Apple has updated four Mac models with Apple Silicon chips, including 24-inch iMac, 13-inch MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac mini. Apple previously stated that its transition away from Intel processors will be completed around the 2022 WWDC Global Developers Conference.
