HarmonyOS 2.0, Huawei’s most anticipated and fully independent OS that will be officially released somewhere in June. In addition, Google’s Android is the largest mobile ecosystem, followed by Apple iOS.

The latest version of iOS is iOS 14, which was launched last year and has many new features, such as Home controls, a new widget system, resizeable widgets, and more.

Huawei has repeatedly denied that HarmonyOS 2.0 is neither an option for Android nor a copy of iOS. Also the development of HarmonyOS took 5 years to complete.

However, getting inspiration is not a bad thing and w  e think HarmonyOS is also an inspired operating system. For example, Huawei recently launched the third HarmonyOS developer beta, which showcases some of its key features.

It includes a new widget and app library system, similar to the latest version of iOS. As information, the new widget system on EMUI 11 allows users to redesign the new widget and use it anywhere on the home screen.

With this feature, users can get timely information from their favorite apps at a glance and place useful widgets on the home screen to keep in touch with them at all times.

The widget management system also provides more options, such as resizing widgets, space-saving stack view, editing widgets, and most importantly, today’s view, where you can add widgets for a specific date.

In addition, the user can also adjust the size of the widget to size to display the amount of information on the screen.

Taking about the app library, as shown in the picture above, HarmonyOS has a new collection of application folders similar to the application library. This feature is very useful, it will automatically classify all applications.

Recently, a speed comparison videos on HarmonyOS 2.0 and iOS 14 installed on the Huawei and iPhone, respectively caught on the @Atnarr YouTube channel. Tests show that HarmonyOS performs slightly better than iOS 14 in terms of data loading speed for opening and closing applications.
