Sennheiser recently officially released the IE 900 flagship in-ear headphones globally. The product adopts a single-moving coil structure, and its shape is similar to the previously launched IE 300, but its shell is made of aluminum alloy CNC technology, showing its flagship identity.
This headset still uses the MMCX interchangeable line interface, which is characterized by the X3R audio technology developed by Sennheiser, which achieves high sound quality through a complex cavity structure. Sennheiser has not launched the IE series flagship in-ear headphones for a long time.
The IE 900 adopts a hanging ear design, which is more comfortable and firmer to wear than the previous flagship IE 800S while reducing the effect of the stethoscope. It can be seen from the official explosion diagram that the earphone shell is equipped with a black sound assembly and has a double-layer cavity structure.

This headset uses a 7mm TrueResponse dynamic coil unit, and the low-damping diaphragm does not have any texture, which is similar to the micro-dynamic coil unit of the previous product. The earphone has a complicated plastic inner cavity and metal shock-absorbing shrapnel on both sides.
The official said that this structural design can provide brilliant and beautiful high frequency, strong low frequency and high resolution, warm and comfortable mid-frequency. The new moving-coil unit can also provide a good transient response.
As can be seen from the official schematic diagram, X3R technology can make the high-frequency range of the frequency response curve smoother, eliminate the formant, and make the hearing more comfortable.
The double-layer cavity design of Sennheiser IE 900 earphones can weaken low-frequency resonance, eliminate unpleasant oppression, and provide a transparent and comfortable experience.
Sennheiser IE 900 headset is manufactured in Germany and assembled manually. The headset parameters are as follows:
