After providing two software updates for the Galaxy S21 series in Europe, Samsung is now extending the update to Snapdragon 888-based products in the United States.
According to official information, the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra unlocked in the US will receive the security patch for this new firmware update in May 2021.
In addition, the new firmware also improves the performance of the “camera” and “quick sharing” functions to enhance the imaging experience and file sharing between Galaxy devices.

Users can identify the May 2021 update by their internal numbers: Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21’s G998U1UEU3AUDD, G996U1UEU3AUDD, and G991U1UEU3AUDD.
