Yesterday, Samsung applied for the trademark “Z Slide” to EUIPO. The app is classified as category 9 and has the same description as “Z Roll” along with S Pen support. These names are very close to each other, because “Roll” stands for scrollable, while “Slide” means it is a sliding smartphone.
Although “Z Roll” and “Z Slide” refer to the letter “Z”, this seems to refer to the Galaxy Z series. Since all foldable smartphones are included in the Galaxy Z series, Samsung seems to want to include all flexible display smartphones in the Galaxy Z series.
