Perhaps Apple is working on a new operating system. In the list of vacancies of the Cupertino giant, a new one has appeared, where, among other things, it is indicated that the applicant will work with iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and homeOS.
The latter is currently not on the list of Apple operating systems, and we have not heard anything about it before. From the name, we can assume that we are talking about an operating system for home electronics.

But here it is worth noting the fact that shortly after the publication of the first news on this topic, Apple corrected the vacancy text.

As always in such cases, this can mean one of two things: either there was a mistake in the text, or Apple simply does not want to know about homeOS ahead of time. Separately, it should be noted that the new OS was mentioned twice in the text. It has now been replaced by a reference to the HomePod column.
