PC shipments in Western Europe soared by 48% over last quarter: Report

In the first quarter of 2021, PC shipments in Western Europe reached 16.1 million units, up 48% over the same period last year. Such data is provided by the analytical company Canalys, clarifying that the PC refers to desktops, laptops, and workstations.

According to analysts, the growth in sales indicates that the demand momentum that began in 2020 due to COVID-19 continues into 2021. The lack of some key components is holding back some orders, but overall the supply chain is in much better shape than in the first quarter of 2020, when factories suddenly began to close due to the first outbreaks of COVID-19.
