On June 10, Huawei hosted Apps UP which is a Global Application Innovation Competition focused on core capabilities of HMS, its new innovations, and defining future scenarios of the Internet of Everything.
The judge’s panel had companies from different sectors such as senior investment institutions, tech media experts, non-profit organization provisions, and official authorities of Internet companies.
At the event, the senior vice president and director of Huawei, Chen Lifang gave a speech on ‘The stars are everlasting, walking together through video conference. Further, she also discussed the topics related to HMS interface, digital intelligence, female developer, support program, educational empowerment, etc.

In regards to the HMS (Huawei Mobile Services), she pointed out that the HMS is not just limited to its own products and services, and opening API interfaces. It aims to become a passageway that connects the users, developers, and other third-party developers.
She also told about the recent achievement of the HMS that it has crosses 4 million registered developers worldwide and the number of applications has exceeded 134,000 as of May this year. For those unaware, the HMS is the third-largest mobile application ecosystem in the world.
Huawei has also committed to supporting female developers and for this, the company has also made some initiatives to encourage them. Several female developer programs have planned in different countries.
