Xiaomi pushed a new software update to another Redmi device called Redmi Note 8 (2021). Aside from system security improvements, this release brings a lot of new features and changes to the smartphone.
According to the info, the tech giant released the latest major platform upgrade for the Redmi Note 8 (2021) based on Android 11, which is the latest version of Xiaomi’s custom skin MIUI is MIUI 12.5. The new version comes with a set of new features to enhance the users’ experience and device performance.

Identified via OTA build version – V12.5.1.0.RCUEUXM, the Redmi Note 8 (2021) Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 update is making its way to Europe – EEA. In addition, it installs the latest May 2021 security patch for better device security.
However, it is an initial rollout, it may take some time to be available globally. Meanwhile, if you own a Redmi Note 8 (2021) device, then check for the update manually by following the steps given below.
What’s new with MIUI 12.5 update
Released in December 2020, Xiaomi launched the newest version of the MIUI, MIUI 12.5, at the Mi 11 launch conference in Europe – EEA, and its global version introduced in early February.
