Huawei has recently published a new patent named ‘Smart car control method, device, and control system’. The patent carries the announcement number CN113044037A. The patent is related to smart cars and it was first applied back on December 28, 2019, in China.
Huawei keeps working on new innovations which reveal the new patent document. The new technology mentioned in the document reveals the company’s plan to provide a more comfortable and improved smart car driving experience.

The Chinese OEM doesn’t seem to be interested in investing in the automobile sector or built its own car. Meanwhile, the company wants to contribute to the sector from its evolving technologies and is continuously working on that.
Huawei’s new innovation: Control method for smart cars:
- The smart car control system gets the current driving mode, driving style model, and target speed of the smart car.
- Afterward, it determines the speed control according to the driving mode and driving style model.
- The execution system of the smart car sends speed control instructions to the smart car control method to provide a comfortable and good experience.
Huawei has no plans to enter automobile industry, here’s why?
There are two reasons that the company has for not entering the sector. The first and foremost is the enormous business affairs of the Huawei ICT in the European countries and mainly in Germany.
If the company begins to compete in those regions, it will have a huge round of competition coming from the local car vendors. This will become a hindrance for the company to make its growth.
The other reason being the requirement of huge investments and resources as compared to smartphones. It will be very complex for the company to start the production of cars with big machinery and equipment while shifting from an easier and less complicated smartphone business in which it is already well established.
