Xiaomi has kicked off a new MIUI 12.5 beta update with version 21.9.22 in China. The new update brings plenty of new features and optimizations to enhance device performance.

MIUI 12.5 new beta update adds bit-filling animation after deleting or adding pictures in the newly added picture list, which greatly optimizing the animation experience. Also, to improve search efficiency, the new firmware optimizes album classification, merge screen recording, and screenshot album as well.
It also adds a display of the number of photos and videos, which can be easily found by pulling down the photo page and optimizes photo album editing-crop and rotate icons to improve usage efficiency.

As the company is investigating the occasional restart problem in some scenes, the test results of Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Pro will be released later.
Due to the major version upgrade of Android, Xiaomi 11 Youth Edition, Redmi K40, Xiaomi 10S will suspend the release of internal testing from September 22, 2021. In the weekly participation standard of internal testing, everyone can vote and release experience for the version being used.
