Intel declared this week that it will end the production of the Xeon W-3175X processor. This product is fit for HEDT high-performance workstations. It was released in 2018 and uses 14nm process technology. This product is benchmarked with AMD’s thread tearer series. It has 28 cores and 56 threads, supports 6-channel DDR4 memory, TDP up to 255W, does not lock multiplier and can be overclocked, and supports an AVX-512 instruction set.
Intel said that market demand for its Xeon W series processors is declining, and the company is focusing on the development and production of other products. Sources predict that the discontinuation of this processor means that Intel will launch the next generation of Xeon CPUs in order to compete with the AMD thread tearer series. The Xeon W-3175X processor does not lock the multiplier, and the default turbo frequency is 3.8GHz.

Besides, Intel stated that the last date for placing the Xeon W-3175X processor is April 29, 2022, and the latest delivery date is October 28, 2022. The company is expected to release a new HEDT platform product next year.
