Astell&Kern launched the first headset of the ZERO series: ZERO1

The Korean HiFi brand Astell&Kern officially released the first headset of the ZERO series: ZERO1. This headset adopts a new hybrid unit architecture that integrates moving coil, moving iron, and flat-panel sound units into a headphone cavity. Through technological innovation, different types of sound units can achieve perfect coordination and deliver true, accurate, and natural sound.

Moreover, this headset is made of a CNC aluminum metal shell with a high-precision 3D printing frame inside to achieve precise and stable installation of the sound unit. The production center of the headset is located in Japan, and each ZERO1 is assembled, inspected, and matched by experienced engineers in a fully manual manner.

Besides, the AK ZERO1 headset has a special micro flat unit, two custom moving iron units, and a 5.6mm diameter micro moving coil unit. Headphone impedance is 16Ω, frequency response range is 25Hz-30KHz, sensitivity is 96dB, total harmonic distortion is 0.7% @1KHz.

Furthermore, this headset comes standard with a high-purity oxygen-free copper silver-plated wire with a 3.5mm standard plug, and an optional upgrade line with a 4.4mm five-pole balanced plug is also on sale at the same time. Both cables are highly matched to the tuning of ZERO1, which maximizes the performance of the headset. In terms of price, the AK ZERO1 headset is priced at US$699 overseas, which is approximately RMB 4500.
