Microsoft’s 343 studio has confirmed that the online services of many old versions of “Halo” games will be discontinued in January 2022. The official previously announced that the online service of the Xbox 360 version of the “Halo” game will be closed in December 2021, but the latest time has been postponed to January 13, 2022.

343 Studio stated: “Each cycle of maintaining and supporting Xbox 360’s traditional services takes time and effort, not on the future of “Halo.” The owners of these games can still play these games indefinitely, but, Certain online functions and experiences, especially online pairing, will be restricted or disabled .”
Furthermore, the latest series of “Halo: Infinite” was originally scheduled to be released as the first Xbox Series X/S game in November 2020, and was later postponed to December 8, 2021, on console and PC platforms. The campaign of “Halo: Infinite” will be released with the free multiplayer component of the game.
