According to the latest report, storage manufacturer Innodisk announced the launch of the first Ultra Temperature DDR4 series memory sticks that support wide temperature operation. This series of products are suitable for use in automobiles, airplanes, and factory production lines.
Moreover, they can be energized and run stably in the temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. Officials said that the computer inside the self-driving car is small and does not have good heat dissipation measures, and its operating temperature is likely to be too high. This kind of memory can satisfy the stable operation of the vehicle under this working condition.

Furthermore, this series of wide temperature memory modules are SODIMMs for notebook memory, available in standard and ECC versions, with capacities of 16GB and 32GB. The memory gold finger is 45mu gold-plated, which is more reliable and durable than other industrial-grade 30mu gold-plated.
In order to protect the chip from unsoldering caused by severe vibration, glue is filled around the chip. In addition, the memory surface is also covered with a corrosion-resistant anti-sulfurization coating, and the product is equipped with a temperature sensor.
Besides, Innodisk’s wide temperature DDR4 memory has passed AEC-Q200 automotive certification, as well as MIL-STD-810G military vibration test, temperature shock test, ISTA-1A drop test, EIAJ-4072 bending test, and 100 golden finger insertions.
According to the official, the Ultra Temperature series of memory modules will provide UDIMM, SODIMM, ECC UDIMM, ECC SODIMM, RDIMM multiple specifications, and samples are currently available.
