AMD’s flagship GPU Navi 31 based on the RDNA3 architecture revealed

Twitter user @Greymon55 tweeted that AMD’s new GPU using a new generation of RDNA3 architecture may have been successfully taped out. The user tweeted in August this year that the next-generation flagship GPU Navi 31 based on the RDNA3 architecture will be released in two months.

Moreover, the flagship Navi 31 RDNA3 architecture for next-generation graphics Ultimate Radeon RX 7900 XT, and AMD will drop the next calculation unit CU the GPU, instead of using the Working Group WGP device. 

Furthermore, Navi 31 GPU has two GCD graphics core chips and one MCD multi-cache chip. Each GCD has 3 shader engines, each shader engine has 2 shader arrays, each shader array has 5 WGPs, and each WGP has 8 SIMD32 units and 32 ALUs. These SIMD32 units are combined to form 7680 cores of each GCD and a total of 15,360 cores in the entire chip.

Besides, AMD RDNA3 architecture GPU will exceed any current Nvidia products in terms of image rasterization performance.
