AMD CEO Su Zifeng announced on Twitter that a press conference will be held on November 8th to launch the new EPYC Xiaolong process And MI200 computing accelerator card.
According to previous revelations, AMD is expected to launch a Zen3-based EPYC processor code-named Milan-X and a CDNA2-based Instinct MI200 accelerator card series. The Instinct MI200 accelerator card is code-named “Aldebaran” will adopt the CDNA2 architecture and MCM multi-chip design.
The new version of the computing accelerator card upgrades the video memory to HBM2E, and the single-chip video memory capacity can reach 16GB, so the total video memory capacity of the graphics card is expected to reach 64GB.

In terms of other parameters, the computing accelerator card will support SDMA technology, allowing the system to directly access the video memory.
Moreover, AMD’s next-generation EPYC Xiaolong server processor is codenamed Milan-X, which is an upgraded version of the current Milan processor. It is expected to provide 16, 24, 32, and 64 core versions. The flagship model 7773X will have 64 cores and 128 threads.
Furthermore, the base frequency is 2.2GHz, the acceleration frequency is 3.5GHz, and the TDP power consumption can reach 280W. It is worth noting that the processor is expected to use 3D V-Cache cache technology, the total L3 cache capacity can reach an astonishing 768MB. In addition, the processor will integrate 8 CCD chips and a larger IO chip.
