Huawei started rolling out the November 2021 security patch with the new HarmonyOS update for Mate 30 users. The Chinese variants of Mate 30 are getting this update that contains a download size of 305MB, so users can easily download it over personal data.
As per the findings, the Huawei Mate 30 November 2021 security note comes with the HarmonyOS 2.0.0.212 update version. In addition, the firmware contains two packages with the first one describing the security fixes while the other one describing system optimizations.
Particularly speaking about new changes, security fixes are essential to resolve various vulnerabilities and keep a steady device performance. Furthermore, this update also brought Bluetooth compatibility optimizations of Huawei Mate 30 with other devices.
Previously the Huawei Mate 30 HarmonyOS 2.0.0.209 version installs the scene-based service portfolio to the service center of the device. Although the released optimizations aren’t big, they’ll provide further help so users should update their devices on this latest update.

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the My Huawei App. To do this, open the app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install. Furthermore, make sure the following points-
- This is a staged rollout, it may be possible that you haven’t received it yet
- Install the update as soon it reaches your device
- Don’t disturb the update installation process and use a storage WiFi network
- Don’t forget to restart your device once the installation process is complete
- The user data will be safe during the update process but an advance backup is recommended
