Kia is all set to launch its new 7-Seater SUV in the Indian automobile market on 16 December 2021.
Kia has given the SUV Codenamed ‘KY’ which could be called ‘Carens’ after launch in India. Kia KY will come with a 3-row configuration.
It is based on the same platform as Hyundai Creta. This will be offered in a 6 or 7-Seater layout. This SUV is expected to be a hard competitor for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6.
Kia KY is expected to be powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that will produce 113 bhp of maximum power and 144 Nm of maximum torque. A 1.5-liter diesel engine will produce 113 bhp of maximum power and 250 Nm of maximum torque. Both engines will come mated with a 6-speed manual transmission.
