Regard this, previous information shows, WhatsApp is developing a new community feature for iOS and Android platforms. Furthermore, this community feature will work like Discord community and channel, as reported.
Moving ahead to the community identification, the icons will have square frames with rounded edges. It’ll help users to distinguish the community from a group chat. Thus, there is a high possibility that old group icons will be used in communities.
At present, there is no official release date comes into sight for the WhatsApp communities. On the other hand, the WhatsApp 2.21.24.3 update is only available for the Android beta testers, while the iOS users are waiting for their turn.
