Xiaomi’s Redmi brand is currently gearing up to introduce its Redmi K50 series. Unlike the older Redmi K series phones, the K40 came with a gaming edition and the Redmi brand has already confirmed that they will be following the same with Redmi K50.
In a recent development, a famous Xiaomi tipster – xiaomiui reveals some important information about the upcoming gaming phone. In addition, he also claims that this time, there will be two gaming models – Redmi K50 Gaming Edition and Redmi K50 Gaming Edition Pro.

The standard version having model number 22041211AC is codenamed, Rubens. This device is the affordable device of the Redmi K50 Gaming series. It may contain differences with the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G and Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. It is said to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7000 processor and a 64MP triple rear camera setup.
Moreover, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition Pro, which has model number 21121210C is codenamed Matisse. This is going to be the high-end variant of the Redmi K50 line. It will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor and will be using a 108MP resolution Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor.
About the launch, xiaomiui says that both of these devices are expected to be introduced in April 2022. Whereas, the other models of the series, such as – Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Pro+ are said to be introduced before Spring Festival 2022. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
