Huawei March 2022 HarmonyOS update rolling out for Mate 20 series

Huawei releasing a new firmware update for Mate 20 series users in China that brings March 2022 HarmonyOS 2.0 software improvements. However, the update changelog is quite big and we’re ready to explore the content as it promises some new enhancements that weren’t there before.

As per the changelog, Huawei Mate 20 series HarmonyOS March 2022 firmware comes with version HarmonyOS 2.0.0.230 upgrading from HarmonyOS 2.0.0.209/219.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro Moreover, Huawei is installing new improvements for the Huawei Mate 20 devices with this new rollout that brings you better performance for the Super Device feature. As well as, new optimizations for improved system handling.

Aside from the Chiense version, Huawei has also released EMUI 12 for the global Mate 20 series models. These phones are getting new user interfaces as well as new features thanks to the EMUI 12 OTA update. However, the rollout is still under expansion and may take some to cover all of the Huawei Mate 20 series users in the overseas markets.

Changelog:

Super Device: Added support for connecting with some Huawei watches, bands, and MateView, which can easily support the new multi-screen collaboration capabilities.
Settings: Auxiliary function Added “Elderly Care” setting interface, which is convenient for you to complete the extra large scale on the same interface. Fonts, touch delay, and other related function settings
Games: Optimizes the user experience with Mistouch prevention in gaming situations.
Security: Integrates security patches released in March 2022 for improved system security.
Settings: Adds the Senior mode settings screen for easier management of settings that seniors may find useful, including larger font size and a longer touch response time.
