Honor 9X series devices started receiving a new HarmonyOS security update released in February 2022. This update mainly boosted the system’s security and privacy by fixing different levels of exploits and issues.

Honor 9X series February 2022 update rolling out with the HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.214. For your information, the Honor 9X lineup models eligible to get the latest firmware are:
- Honor 9X (HLK-AL00)
- Honor 9X (HLK-AL00a)
- Honor 9X Pro (HLK-AL10)
This update includes February 2022 security improvements that resolve over 41 CVEs found in the latest HarmonyOS software system.
As this is is a monthly maintenance update rollout that helps the device to perform and provide a bug-free user experience. So, we suggest that corresponding device owners do not miss this essential update.
How to update:
You can update your phone via Settings, open the settings menu on your smartphone, tap on system & updates, and then software update. From here, tap on CHECK FOR UPDATES and now let the phone fetch the latest update for you. Once the update appeared on your screen, download and install it.
On the flip side, you can request also the update via the My Huawei app. Just you need open the My Huawei app, visit the update section and then follow on-screen instructions to download and install the update.
Note:
- During the update, your smartphone may heat up and work improperly so don’t get panic. After the update process is complete, your device will start working properly automatically.
- Before proceeding with the update, make sure that your device must be charged 30% and above as well as have an adequate amount of space to install the update. Also, use a stable and strong WiFi connection.
