Apple’s Mail for Students
A student from South Africa shared the mail sent by the company to increase the subscription price for Apple Music. This is what the mail reads:
“Thank you for subscribing to Apple Music. We wanted to let you know about an upcoming change to this subscription. Apple is raising the price of the subscription from USD 1.49/month to USD 1.99/month.”
Countries undergoing this change
This change in the price is taking place in a bunch of countries around the world. Here is a list of the countries that are involved in this change:
- Australia
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Malaysia
- Saudi Arabia
- New Zealand
- India
- Indonesia
- Israel
- Kenya
Meanwhile, the latest information reveals that such changes generally occur when the currency of a region differs a lot from the US dollar. Hence, Apple took a step for the music application.
It’s not sure whether Apple will roll out the increment globally. As the company is also trying to grab the users on Apple One, we could say that the price rise is just a correction move.
