The World Semiconductor Trade Statistics Organization (WSTS) released the latest forecast data on the semiconductor market: In 2022, the global semiconductor market is expected to grow by 16.3%, and continue to grow by 5.1% in 2023. In 2023, the logic chip market is expected to reach $200 billion, accounting for about 30% of the total market size.

Following strong growth of 26.2% in 2021, WSTS expects the global semiconductor market to experience double-digit growth again in 2022 and is expected to reach $646 billion, an increase of 16.3%.
WSTS predicts that in the growth of mainstream chip products in 2022, logic chips are expected to increase by 20.8% year-on-year, analog chips are expected to increase by 19.2% year on year, and memory chips are expected to increase by 18.7% year on year. Optoelectronics is expected to be roughly flat year-on-year (+0.3%).
From a regional perspective, it is expected that all regions of the world will experience different degrees of growth. The Asia Pacific is expected to grow by 13.9%. The Americas are forecast to grow at 22.6%, Europe at 20.8%, and Japan at 12.6%.
