Now, AMD has a new interpretation of its Threadripper product line, saying that AMD has unified the Threadripper and Threadripper PRO product lines for enthusiasts and content creators, and the future will only be the Threadripper PRO platform.
This also means that all Threadripper processors will natively deliver: 128 PCIe Gen 4 lanes, 8 lanes of UDIMM and RDIMM memory, massive L3 cache, and the security and manageability features common to Ryzen PRO processors.
Moreover, AMD says that in addition to the PRO feature set, Threadripper processors will also offer exciting features for enthusiasts, and WRX80 motherboards at ODM partners will support memory and CPU overclocking.
Furthermore, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5000WX processor is designed for the WRX80 chipset and sWRX8 CPU socket, and customers with WRX80 chipset motherboards will be able to directly support the Threadripper PRO 5000 WX series processors after a BIOS update.
