Android Auto is picking redesigned Google Maps with sidebar
Google Maps is getting a redesigned look on Android Auto with an interesting sidebar feature. This change is arriving with a new update and will soon be available to all users. Make sure to grab this version as it lands on your phone to enjoy the latest perks on board.
We already heard of some changes in terms of Google Assistant for the auto-application. In the latest edition, the company has picked redesigned Google Maps for Android Auto and implemented a unique sidebar to it. Eventually, this add-on will make access to mandatory controls easier.
In simple words, you can zoom, alter the map orientation, adjust voice-based directions, and access settings. These will appear on a translucent bar on the left side of the screen. Though it will only show up when the app is running on the entire screen, and not on the dashboard.

The update is live with the Android Auto V10 and Google Maps v11.90 versions. However, some users are observing this change with the Android Auto v9.9 build as well.
