Apple Music 4.5 update for Android introduces iOS 17-style widgets

Apple Music is grabbing a big update with a 4.5 version which brings iOS 17-style widgets, new features, and more for Android users. In addition, you will find some visual improvements and performance stability after the installation.

To begin with, the ‘Recently Played’ tab now appears in the form of a list instead of a grid framework. Ahead, Apple Music 4.5 update for Android binds two new iOS 17 widgets. These are:

• Recommendations – Play Top Picks, New Releases, and other suggestions from Apple Music.
• Top Charts – Play Top Charts based on a location or city of your choice.

These two widgets on the home screen can use your device’s wallpaper to set the color theme. Meanwhile, the Dynamic Color is applicable to every section and doesn’t work on a per-widget basis. The setting shows up for both Now Playing and Recently Played. But these widgets remain blurred at the moment.

Other than these, the app will support these features for Android:

• SharePlay in the Car: Everyone can play and control music, even from the back seat.
• Suggested Songs in Playlists: Quickly add from a selection of songs designed to fit your playlist.
• More to Favorite: Favorite songs, albums, and playlists, and they’ll appear in your library.
