Google Chrome is enabling iOS users to add web apps on their device’s home screen. So far, Apple has already introduced this capability with iOS 16.4 upgrade. Though it remains confined only to the stock browsing app. As of now, the respective tweak has started expanding to more platforms.
Recently, a user noted that the latest Google Chrome for iOS lets users add their favorite sites and web apps on the home screen. Eventually, you don’t have to leave the Chrome or Safari app for accessing a saved website or an important application.
On the side hand, the release notes for this week’s update reads “You can now add URLs or Progressive Web Apps to your home screen. Note that this app feature requires iOS 16.4 or later to run on your handset. This is so because the previous OS(s) don’t support the particular API.
