Apple Website notifies users about Blood Oxygen feature removal in the US
Apple has finally got permission to sell its Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 in the US, but with the drop of blood oxygen feature. Yes, users in the US will not be able to use the blood oxygen feature of the Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra devices, so to notify its users about this, Apple has updated its website.
As per the details, Apple has updated its US website to notify customers that the Blood Oxygen feature on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 is no longer included. The firm added a banner to the store webpages related to both devices, and removed all mention of the feature in its product comparison tool.
Apple’s website says,
- The ability to measure blood oxygen is no longer available on Apple Watch units sold by Apple in the United States after January 18, 2024. These are indicated with part numbers ending in LW/A.
However, the Blood Oxygen app still works on previously sold Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 models. The feature also remains available on Apple Watch models sold outside the US, as the sales ban does not apply internationally. You can read more about this here.
