Bard Extensions can now easily connect with Google apps and services
Today, Google has launched Bard Extensions which will easily collaborate with first-party apps and services including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, and more. On the other hand, the capability will support some Workspace facilities and optimize functions related to emails and documents.
The information went live from the official blog where the manufacturer shared how Bard Extensions will integrate with Google apps and services for helpful responses. Eventually, the latest functionality is available in English and we can expect more language support in the coming days.
Let us tell you that Bard can surf through your emails to find the specific inputs you have been asking for. Such as:
- you can ask Bard to grab the [trip] dates that work for everyone from Gmail.
- Find my resume titled June 2023 from my Drive and summarize it into a short paragraph personal statement.
Notably, in no time, the feature will bring the results to your doorstep. In case you are worried about privacy, content from Gmail, Docs, and Drive is not seen by human reviewers, used by Bard to show you ads, or used to train the Bard model.
On the flip side, Bard Extensions can even help you find real-time flight and hotel information, Google Maps directions, and YouTube videos without letting you enter the information manually. It also has the all-new ‘Google it’ feature to better search queries on Google Search.
To conclude, the tech maker states that all of these new features are possible because of updates we’ve made to our PaLM 2 model, our most capable yet.
