Celia Voice assistant coming to more old Huawei phones with software update

Huawei launched Celia as its AI Voice assistant with Huawei P40 series sunning EMUI 10.1 and the company later on expanded its availability to more devices with HMS (Huawei Mobile services). According to the latest news, Huawei is including the Celia voice assistant to its older smartphones via software upgrade.

A new software update with Celia Voice Assistant is rolling out in batched for different devices and it will be available to mode devices in the coming days. Users who are eager for the update can check for new software updates in the software update section.

After the GMS (Google Mobile Services) banned Huawei phones, the company has started its own HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) which included the AL Voice assistant called Celia. It operates through a virtual speech recognition app built for Huawei devices to work as a virtual mobile assistant. It will wake up to answer your every question just by saying ‘Hey Celia’.

How to check for updates

EMUI 10.1/11:

  • Open Settings >> click on System & Updates, then Open Software Update and finally tap on Check for updates option.
  • If the update shows up, the hit Download and install and after installing, Reboot the device

EMUI 9.1 or below:

  • Open Settings >> System and updates >> Software updates >> Check for Updates
  • If update is available then click Download and install and after installing Reboot the device
