ChatGPT is losing users, monthly traffic declines by 9.7 percent for first time

ChatGPT is one of the popular AI tools that has unexpectedly started losing users, as the monthly traffic declines. As per the latest revealings, the global desktop and mobile traffic of the website dropped by 9.7 percent last month, compared to May 2023. Meanwhile, the new visitors count went down by 5.7 percent.

Responding to the facts and figures, RBC Capital Markets analyst Rishi Jaluria said that ChatGPT monthly traffic declines due to the increasing demand for generative AI that results in real-time details. Although there is no answer from the official company on this matter.

So far, ChatGPT has gained surprising growth of 100 million monthly active users within two months of its launch. Eventually, it appeared as one of the fastest-growing consumer applications. On the flip side, it achieved a success of 1.5 billion monthly visits and stood among the top 20 websites across the globe.
