We now have a new Google Camera app (GCam). The latest camera app has several new features. Thanks to Arnova8G2, you can now enjoy the new Google Camera 8.1 features on several smartphones including Samsung, OnePlus, Realme, Oppo, Xiaomi, and more.

Note:

  • The user version is a user-friendly and simple version, for beginners, for those who prefer simplicity. No additional features, only the possibility of applying XML configs.
  • The dev version has more features than the user version
  • This GCam 8.1 Beta version is based on Google Camera 8.1.101.

XML (enabled all Pixel 5 features): Get pixel5.xml

To load the config, go to Settings > Advanced > XML Config > Select XML. Then go back to the viewfinder and double click the dark area around the shutter button, check here for more information.

(The config folder is in a different place now: /Android/data/org.codeaurora.snapcam/files/configs7)

How to download and install Google Camera on your smartphone:

The procedure is quite simple and you just need to follow the instructions below:

  • Download the APK first from the source link below.
  • Select and Install it (Allow app installation from external sources).
  • Open the Google Camera (Once the icon appears in your launcher).
  • Done!
