Here’s everything you need to know about E3 2021 announcements, schedule details, and more updates

Although the global epidemic continues,  E3 will take place this year. It will not be caught one by one as before. This year, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) will host a digital version of E3, which still aims to present new and exciting game ads, as well as game updates we already know.

Since E3 is usually filled with games and ads, things are high for viewers. Fortunately, all the details related to E3 this year, including the participating companies, when the event will take place, and the overall conformation event.

Following months of specs, the Entertainment Software Association has finally revealed how the E3 2021 works. The virtual event is centered around an app that acts as an online portal for the event.

ESA confirmed the details of the incident in a new blog post. Although this is the first full-digital presentation of the exhibition, the online portal is trying to bridge the gap by providing many of the key experiences of the Expo.

Here’s what to expect from E3 2021:

When is E3 2021?

E3 2021 runs from June 12 to June 15, and there are plans to offer digital presentations from major publishers and media companies. Consider Nintendo live-style events, from 15 minutes to over an hour, with a lot of sports advertising.

Although it has not been confirmed whether this plan will be successful, ESA has introduced the idea of adding a game demo to E3 2021 with some capabilities. At other events in the past, publishers have given press access to game demos for remote coverage purposes, so we’ll look at some versions of this in E3.

Prior to the E3 2021 schedule, no publisher confirmed the game for display. We know that games make up the bulk of this event, which we do not know. Occasionally, the publisher announces which games will be shown ahead of time, but for the most part, this is surprising. We will update this article with any sporting confirmation as the event approaches.

E3 2021 schedule

The E3 2021 schedule is in development, but for now, we already have significant publishers/media companies whose existence has been confirmed. The program (so far) is as follows:

June 12
  • Ubisoft Forward — 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET
  • Future Games Show — TBA
June 13
  • PC Gaming Show — TBA
Unannounced dates
  • Summer Games Fest
  • Microsoft E3 Showcase
  • Square Enix Presents
  • Nintendo Digital Direct

Most publishers/outlets are likely to have programs scheduled for E3, but we know this for now. We will continue to update with specific dates and times as we verify this post.

What other companies will be at E3 2021?

Most of the participating companies will not have their own special exhibitions at E3 2021, although they will enjoy their presence throughout the event. Many publishers appear during other major digital events. For example, Capcom is likely to have a game during Nintendo Direct.

These are the companies that will appear throughout E3 2021:

  • Activision Publishing, Inc.
  • Amazon Game Studios
  • Bad Button Studio
  • BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc.
  • Bethesda Softworks
  • Capcom USA, Inc.

Here are some interesting things to note from the list above. One, Bethesda is listed separately from Microsoft, which means companies run independent programs. In the past, before Microsoft bought, Bethesda held its own live press conference, so the company is likely to continue this trend this year.

Another important point is that Developer Digital, a publisher usually has its own dedicated program at E3. The company did not say what to expect, but confirmed that “E3 plans have been drawn up”.

Which publishers won’t be at E3?

E3 2021 has a laundry list of absent publishers, the most important of which are Sony and Electronic Arts.

With Sony, its lack of involvement is not uncommon, as the company has not participated in E3 for the past few years. Recently, the company doubled its presence under the name State of Play, which was set up as Nintendo Direct. Sony is expected to broadcast the status of the game during E3 this summer, although nothing has been confirmed.

As for the electronic arts, it will also cut E3 this year but will host its EA Play live event on July 22, 2021. In previous years, EA Play Live was a one-man event, but this year’s edition will be virtual, giving its viewers a way to safely enjoy the show from home.

In addition, the primary hubs to watch the E3 2021 broadcast (outside of the portal and app) include:
