Google adds ‘Highlights’ tab in its Contacts app for Android devices

Google has now updated its Contacts app, which brings a new change. The app now has an additional tab “Highlights”.

You can find this new tab in the Material You bottom bar between “Contacts” and “Fix & manage”. For a better understanding, you can check the screenshot below.

You can also see a search option and a “Favorites” field, which shows the favorite contacts. There’s also an option to add a new contact. You can check the latest app version on Google Play Store.

Additionally, you can now see two new ways to view recent contacts with the ability to clear the history, “View recently” and “Added recently”.

With this new update, the Google Contacts app has now 3 tabs for operations at the bottom and a navigation drawer for profile management.
