The latest version of Chrome on Android has launched a new price tracking feature to warn you about price reductions. SmartDroid Reports, Chrome gets a new feature in version 90, though it doesn’t seem alive to everyone. Once activated, Chrome monitors your open tabs for any cost reductions and notifies you if they occur.
It may be useful in functionality for the Android app, which is not compatible with price tracking extensions like Kipa available for Chrome’s desktop. But you need to keep the tab open to tracking its values. Hopefully, Google will find a compelling solution before giving the feature a comprehensive rollout.

If your version of Chrome has been updated with the feature, you can turn it on through the three-dot settings menu at the top right of the tab selection screen where it is listed as “Track Prices”.
If it’s not appearing, Android Police and 9to5Google report that you can manually enable it by going to “Chrome: // flags / # enable-t-b-grid-layout” in the address bar, by tapping in the drop-down menu, and selecting “Enable Price Notifications.” Your browser may need to be restarted before the feature appears. The technology does not work for everyone, however, we have not been able to enable the feature using this method.
News of Chrome’s price tracking feature comes a few months after the addition of a price comparison tool by Microsoft’s Edge browser, which was soon followed by built-in support for coupons and promo codes. Firefox also trialed a price tracking feature in 2018, called Price Wise, yet it never seems to get an official release.
