Google Discover gets air quality (AQI) capability for Android and iOS

Posted on

Google Discover is bringing the useful Air Quality (AQI) card facility to Android and iOS devices. Eventually, users would be able to have a glance at the daily reports of the air in the surrounding without opening a dedicated application.

So far, the Discover app used to highlight certain mini cards beneath the search bar suggestions. Some of these were as follows:

  • Finance – Stocks prices and markets trends from industries you follow
  • Sports – Event updates from teams you follow
  • Weather – Conditions from your current location

As of now, Google Discover will highlight the AQI card under the weather section with the statement – “Air quality from your current location”. In addition to this, the app switches to a full-width weather card to show a more detailed view of the weather inputs.
