Google Docs will let you enter directly into edit mode
Google is making some useful changes to the Docs application that will directly lead you to the edit mode. In other words, users would be able to revise a document in fewer taps, compared to the previous version. How’s that possible? Let’s find out.
According to the latest words on the WorkSpace page, the Google Docs app will straight away launch in edit mode. Eventually, you can instantly start typing or editing the document, rather than initially tapping the pencil icon at the bottom-right corner.
Here you will find the cursor ready to input the text on the page. In addition, new tweaks are making their way to Google Sheets where you will discover large tap targets. Tapping once exposes the formula bar, tab bar, and contextual formatting toolbar.

Further, you will have the option to insert a link and press the tab key to convert it into a smart chip. This feature play wonders when you copy and paste email addresses or links to Google Drive files, Maps places, or videos. These changes are rolling out and will soon be available on your device.
