Google is bringing a new update to the Google Drive app. With this update, Google is adding Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) for all fresh videos uploaded to Drive. The videos will adjust their playback quality based on the network speed.
All new videos uploaded to Drive will use the new feature, and existing videos are slated for this update by the end of the year.
In addition, Google Drive is also adding improved search filters, was in development since at least October 2023. However, these filters are currently limited to iOS. The rollout for Android is expected soon.
