Google Fi is Google’s own virtual operator service. It uses your phone’s “Wi-Fi Assistant” to continuously find and connect to good Wi-Fi networks. Meanwhile, a recent report claims that it now supports end-to-end encrypted calls.
According to Google (Via), end-to-end encryption has become a standard in the real-time communications industry, and now the feature has officially been brought to mobile calls. This feature will be turned on by default, and two Android phones using Google Fi can support this feature.

After turning on this function, the phone call interface will display the lock pattern, and the phone ringtone is also different from regular calls. Not only this but the text message communication between two mobile phones also supports end-to-end encryption.
This way, even if the user’s communication is stolen by someone else, the other party cannot receive the contents of the call.
Besides Google Fi, WhatsApp, the first foreign instant messaging app, has also added end-to-end encryption, which is supported by text messages, voice calls, and video calls. In addition, this app also supports enabling encryption for cloud backup chat history.
