Google Home removes routines capabilities due to a nasty bug
Google fans are reporting a nasty bug in the Home application that has suddenly removed the routines capability on other devices. It is unclear what has raised such an issue for the users, but the US tech giant will soon solve this problem.
To those who are unaware, the Google Home app lets users create and use the routines option of their handsets. As the name reflects, it is a series of actions you want your device to take automatically, as soon as you command it using the voice assistant.
Users can even take the help of a Nest speaker or a display such as Nest Audio, Nest Mini, or Nest Hub Max to operate the respective function. While the routines option is quite effective to use on the Google Home app, it has been removed due to a strange bug.
A few users on the Reddit forum said that the ability to remotely trigger routines has disappeared unexpectedly. Here remotely means that consumers were able to run a routine on a speaker or smart display without using their phone. Though that feature is no longer available.
