New Google Lens update brings light theme and effective UI tweaks

Posted on

Google is persistently giving examples of how keenly it looks after every app and service in its family. In the latest development, the company is pushing off an effective update for the Google Lens which brings a handful of UI tweaks and a new light theme.

So far, the Google Lens viewfinder used to shine in a black-and-white UI. But the latest update adds a carousel of filters against a gray background with a light blue pill. This addition hints that the US tech giant might revamp it with Dynamic Color theming in the future.

Ahead, the Google Lens update shows a new light theme color which is visible in the gallery and appears in the screenshots and images grid. Earlier, the app supported a glimpse of light/dark themes on visual search results. Over time, the company is trying to make this aspect more consistent.

Google is bringing these changes in the latest app beta version 14.30 for both Android and iOS. It looks like the manufacturer is still testing this change and will gradually push it to users in the coming days.
