Posted on

As virtual meetings become increasingly integral to our professional lives, the importance of maintaining a polished and professional appearance on video calls cannot be overstated.

Google Meet, one of the most popular video conferencing platforms, has recognized this need and introduced a two-portrait touch-ups feature to help you put your best face forward.

These two portrait touch-up filters are designed to lightly touch up your appearance from the green room before joining or during the meeting. Also, the update is rolling out on Android and iOS devices and the web version will be available by the end of 2023.

Google Meet is offering two portrait touch-ups which include subtle and smoothing, you can read more about the filters below and use them according to your preference.

  • Subtle: very light complexion smoothing, under eye lightening, and eye whitening.
  • Smoothing: slightly more complexion smoothing, under-eye lightening, and eye whitening.

Google says,

  • We hope that by providing the ability to lightly enhance their appearance, they will feel more comfortable and confident with how they appear during video calls.

Simultaneously, the new filters are not available to users with personal Google Accounts but can be accessed in Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, and more.
