Google Messages preps satellite-based Emergency SOS feature
Google is working on satellite features for the upcoming Android version. But it looks like the company has some great plans for its apps as well. Eventually, Google started readying a new Emergency SOS feature for the Messages application.
Yes, we have already heard this term while exploring iPhone functions. So far, Apple has imposed this incredible capability on its handsets which has helped several users. You can read one of the recent examples below.
Following the satellite trend, Google is now planning to bring the amazing Emergency SOS feature to Messages. The well-known Google analyst – @MishaalRahman dragged our attention to his latest tweet that defines: the company is preparing a useful functionality for its application.
Adding more, the observer said that the new feature is a placeholder for the moment and there is no such confirmation. However, it won’t be a surprise if the tech giant is implementing this feature as it is already enabling satellite support in Android 14.
On the other hand, Google Messages is the default messaging app on many Android phones from different brands. Thus, it will be good if the application support SOS functionality to eliminate the requirement of a separate messaging app for satellite-oriented stuff.
