Reacting to messages feels easier and more effective than replying to every single conversation. So to provide users with a convenient option, Google Messages also offers an emoji reaction feature, just like we do in our other chatting boxes like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram.

In the year 2022, Google Messages started testing the emoji reaction feature for users and it’s now making its way to more users. This new feature will provide you the ability to react with any emoji which will make the conversation more effective and interesting.

When this feature was first used on Google Messages, it was only limited to seven reactions including thumbs up thumbs down, Smiling Face with Heart-Eyes, Face with Tears of Joy, Face with Open Mouth, Crying Face, and an Angry Face. But now there are more options.

Yes, it’s correct, Google now offers an emoji reaction feature which lets you react to the conversation with your favorite emoji. It means the Google Messages texting box is equally identical to the other app, it allows you to read receipts send reactions, and much more.

Now, for the users who are not aware of reacting to the text, you just need to long press on an SMS text or RCS chat, and then tap the new ‘plus’ symbol at the end. This conveys up the emoji picker built-in to Messages, there’s also a search field at the top and 10 categories below.

However, earlier this feature was only limited d to some users, but now the company has expanded it widely, including to those on the stable release of Messages.
