Google Messages releases redesigned home screen tweaks for beta testers
Google has been preparing a redesigned home screen for the Messages app and now the tech giant has pushed off this change to the beta testers. After suitable feedback on this implementation, the company will start rolling it out to general consumers in the upcoming weeks.
Last week, the US manufacturer started working on a redesigned home screen with Dynamic Color theming for Google Messages on beta version 20230717_01_RC00. Proceeding one step, the Android developer is now delivering the latest tweak to a handful of testers to see how they react to this change.
Notably, Auto-organizing functionality is still missing from this upgrade. On the flip side, Google does not appear to have a prompt yet directing people to tap their avatar for access to what was previously located in the hamburger menu/navigation drawer. It’s causing some confusion at the moment.
